The BBC Africa Lives website, of which Ali and I produced a large part, won the New Media prize at the One World Media Awards 2006 the other day. Woohoo!

Apparently, the citation from the jury said:-

The winner was an outstanding example of the way a website can be used to convey a far more sophisticated and multi-dimensional view of the developing world than is normally seen - and that this site had a scale and impact that put it above the other entries.
