TONY'S ONGOING SEARCH

Last nights news broadcasts were hilarious. The greying Tony Blair’s final admission that we wouldn’t find Weapons of Mass Destruction, indeed, “…that they may never have existed”, was pure class. But wait for it, where was the admission of guilt, the acceptance that due to unforeseen circumstances he was duped? Remorse? Not a shred? Regret. Nada. Feeling of inadequacy? Zilch.

All there was was the laughable “I still believe they were a very real threat”, and the stupendous, “the intent was there.” Wow.

The Prime Minister's comments came before the House of Commons Liason Commitee where he was grilled not by the Labour members (who sat genuflecting) but by the Tory Sir George Young.

"We do not know what has happened to them; they could have been removed, they could have been hidden, they could have been destroyed." To get the full impact of how grovelling a House of Commons "grilling" is go here for the full testimony. Just listen to this quality brown-nosing: "Mr Leigh: If I could just follow on from what Sir George was putting to you (I think we would all like to help you out on this), your place in history is secure..."

The Butler Inquiry should be a hoot.
