Bash the Fash

The Autonomous Social Centre in Aberdeen is trying to co-ordinate organisation against the 'Scottish National Front': "Aberdeen City Council have received an application from the National Front to hold a St Andrews day march on Sunday the 28th of November.

The councils licensing comittee have not yet made a decision on whether to ban the march, pending further discussion with Grampion Police's Chief Constable. Without an objection from the police, the council will be unable to ban the march.

The organiser of the march, David MacDonald the Scotish NF organiser of Beachview Court, Seaton in Aberdeen, is claiming that "It is nothing to do with the race issue at all, it is for St Andrew's Day." However, it is dreadfully apparent from the NF's past record of racial hatred and violence that there is a hidden agenda that the council should do well not to ignore.

The march appears to be a clever tactic by the NF to gain credibility and influence in Aberdeen.

Fascists should not have a platform for spreading hatred and intolerance in Aberdeen. Freedom of speech should not extend to allowing Fascists, Racists, and Nazis holding meetings assemblies or rallies for whatever reason.

The Autonomous Social Centre Aberdeen, currently building-less, are discussing what action should be taken to stop this march. More info email: asca (at) mutualaid.org
