After Anne Robinson’s famous slander of the Welsh, now we have Jeremy Paxman’s anti-Scottish tirade.
Anyone who gives John Reid a hard time might, you’d think, be in the 1820 good-books, but we can’t help but agree with the MPS who call Paxo’s latest outburst "insulting, irresponsible, divisive and snobbish".
The nationalist Newsnight frontman said: "I mean down here we live under a sort of Scottish Raj... I don't see why there is any reason for them to feel chippy. Do we complain about it? No we don't. I think it's absurd. I don't understand wherein lies this angst."
Complain about it? What would you complain about? “There’s Jocks at the helm!”
