Post G-8 a lot of people are wandering around saying, what next?
The unholy alliance that held (just about) on the left doesn’t need quite so much stability any more so its time for some home truths.
1) the anarchists made a bit of an arse of themselves in Stirling.
2) Anarchism is the main guiding politics in the anti-capitalist movement
3) Most of the liberal/progressive movement was completely hoodwinked by the mainstream medias coverage of the protests
4) The Trotskyist left’s obsession with marching for the sake of marching is embarrassing. This protest being reduced to the ‘right to protest’ is becoming as insipid as a Mariah Carey appearance at a Bob Geldof concert.
5) Oh, and poverty’s not history.
