A search for The Mountain Goats at elbo.ws pointed me in the direction of My iPod has an STD and this track, No Children.
Katie Dill is yet another excellent find from Said the Gramophone. This Body's Only Rental stuck in my head the same way it did with StG's Sean.
And Lucky Soul's excellent Get Outta Town! comes courtesy of Fluxblog.
When Graham send me a Cliff Richard track, I thought it must be a joke. I've listened to 'In the Country', however, every day since. Whatever next!
The Shins have been responsible for some of my favourite tracks: Young Pilgrims, Gone For Good and New Slang, for example. 'Australia', from their new album 'Wincing the Night Away', has immediately added itself to that list.
'Angel Eyes' by The Czars is an awesome interpretation of the ABBA original (which I never really liked). On the strength of this cover and that of Connie Francis's 'Where The Boys Are', I bought their album 'Sorry I Made You Cry'.
I've well and truly jumped on the Mika bandwagon, thanks to the BBC's Sound of 2007 report. This is 'Grace Kelly';
Popjustice sang the praises of Sophie Ellis-Bextor's new single 'Catch You';
The Innocence Mission's cover of 'Edelweiss' was the highlight of the latest offering from copy, right?;
And the excellent mixtapes from Paper Thin Walls introduced me to 'A Pillar of Salt' by The Thermals.
A lovely Christmas cover found on music (for robots).
This sounds like some sort of South American action TV show from the Eighties - wonderful! (courtesy of Said The Gramophone).
Another great track from Cris, this one. Full of summer fun! myspace.com/lilymusic.
Broken Boy Soldiers is a great album to have on in the background while working. The tracks are of a consistently high standard without ever dominating your attention. Thanks for the tip, Cris!
Another excellent musical recommendation from Graham.
This song is featured in DJ Papa's excellent "The Art of Whistling" mix. You might recognise The Chordettes from such pop hits as Mr Sandman.
A lovely Brokeback Mountain-style cover of the Mariah Carey song. Found on copy, right?.
"Sambeau has been waiting to record this track for 10 years. He was probably waiting to get a mandolin as that is what it clearly needed. Now he needs to learn to play the thing."
I tend to listen to Come and Get It while working on hodgers.com at night. This last track on what is a wholly underrated album always makes me choose 'replay' instead of moving onto another playlist.
This acoustic version of the hugely popular single strips out all that ghastly Bridget Jones-style musical production and lets Corinne's voice do the talking - lovely.
This terrific Arctic Monkeys cover is the B-side to new single Red Dress (a song previously featured here on Hodgers Radio).
As if Pon de Replay wasn't good enough, here's a lovely upbeat little number featuring a very familiar sample.
New album The Life Pursuit is pretty good. Ta for the tip, Graham.
I didn't think very much of the original track, but this acoustic version is really, really lovely.
This track is to Hackensack what The Shins' Gone For Good is to New Slang.
This is from the album Extraordinary Machine. I'd been waiting ages for its release after hearing a couple of songs a while back and wasn't disappointed when the day finally arrived.
The Popjustice messageboard folk either love this or hate it. I'm in the love camp - woo woo!

These guys supported the Arctic Monkeys in Glasgow recently.
I'd say I quite like FF rather than really like them, but the duelling guitars on this track got me all excited!
I watched Smokey and the Bandit the other day.
Found on the excellent Bubblegum Machine.
What an odd song! Some really good up-tempo stuff punctuated by some really clunky 'Da da da da dum' nonsense.
I read on Popjustice that this was a terrific song. It took ages to find but was definitely worth the wait.
Despite my best efforts, I've always rather liked Supergrass's stuff. This is the third track from Road to Rouen.
A perfect 3-minute (well, nearly) pop song. They have a single out on 17 Oct.
This is the song that's being used in just about every trailer these days, including The Fantastic Four and King Kong.
