Soooooo hardcore!
Cor' blimey; this morning was like one of those stories that you read about in the magazines where the person has to drag their ass out of bed and then climb a mountain, fight ten bears and then shovel two thousand tons of snow and yak shit out of the way just so that they can ride a full pipe for ten minutes and damned if it was worth it and THAT'S what BMX is all about etc etc blah blah.
Jane was working early, so I got her to check if it was dry or not. The report came back that it was 'kind of dry', so i stayed in bed as long as I could, then threw a towel and shower gel (not forgetting my straightners, curlers, eyebrow tweezers and bikini wax) in a bag and went off to KG for an early morning session. When I got there, as Jane said, it was 'kind of dry' and there was a brush there to help sweep away the worst of it. Not to worry though, as I only wanted to ride one transition and it had a dry run up.
I've decided that KG is not actually a skatepark. And if I think like that then I can actually ride it and be happy because then I forget that someone actually designed that piece of shit. Instead I just now think 'Oh look: a transition on it's own. How convenient.' And you just ignore the rest of the shit (like how I try to pretend Chris Moyles doesn't exist by ignoring him).
Anyhoo, I just got a new part for my bike that makes it work in a wierd way and I've been trying to get used to it. I've also decided to finally learn one of the absolute most basic tricks in BMX that everyone can do except me. I'm not even going to say what it is 'cos it's so easy.
So to cut a long story short, The End.
But that's a bit too short, so between the whittering and The End, I decided that I wasn't going to leave until I'd pulled three of these tricks, which I did (hurray for me!) and as soon as I finished, the heavens opened and I was out of there.
And I only had to fight three bears and ride with ten broken arms and with 4 flat tires but it was worth it because THAT'S what BMX is about and I'm dead hardcore yo.
I've been busy recently, so I've slacked heaily on the digging, but I'm going to try and get down to Planton tonight , 'cos trails are fun.
BO!
