Heart Buchanan's new BBC lunch delivery service (wot I built) has made the papers:-
Home comforts
HOW are the precious folk at the BBC coping with their move from the refined west end to Govan, you may or may not wonder.
Well, while their neighbours in Govan go down to an ice-cream van for their smokes, Nurofen and single nougats, the BBC types now have a lunchtime van delivery from their favourite deli on Byres Road which they were all missing. They can order their couscous, asparagus and chervil pasta salad, and goats' cheese and sunblushed tomato filo parcels online before 11am and it is delivered two hours later.
And no strident chimes of Greensleeves from the van - the staff are sent an e-mail when it arrives.
Yes, it's tough out there in Govan, but the plucky BBC types are surviving.

Some of my colleagues at
BBC Scotland are working at the
T in the Park music festival this weekend.
Not only are they streaming Flash video of the performances, they're also chopping many of them up into individual track-size chunks. The results are great and they're available for people to embed into their own websites for the next seven days.
Here's what I've pinched has been published so far...

On Sunday 27 May 2007, I achieved the perfect game at Wii Sports bowling.
I was particularly delighted for two reasons:-
- It was done both in competition with three other players and in full view of the majority of my pals; and
- It laid to rest the ghost of Super Monkey Bowling (the pressure got to me and I missed my best shot at a maximum by just one strike a couple of years ago).
My technique is to shuffle as far over to the right as possible and bowl straight ahead - but with as much counter-clockwise twist as I can muster. (In Super Monkey Bowling, if I remember correctly, I stayed in the middle, stopped the swinging arm when it was pointing right and used maximum counter-clockwise twist.)
Perhaps I should have just built a robot instead...
Thanks to Sally for the photo.
