Malaga CF Update

I know that you are a bit like me and can't wait until the new Spanish football season starts, but we will have to wait a little longer for the first game of the season on 28 August (away to "newcomers", newly promoted Celta Vigo) and even longer until the first home game on 11 September (against last season's surprise success, Espanyol).
So, knowing that you are wondering about the team, who has come in and who has gone etc I thought I'd better whet your appetite for the upcoming season with a little news. Please find below the most current squad list and below that a list of the players who have gone during the summer. The players highlighted in green are those who have been transferred in, those in red below are those who have gone.
Big favourite Miguel Angel has gone to local rivals Betis for 3 million euros. The talented attacking midfielder had one year left to run on his contract so Malaga are making some money before he went for nothing next season. Also, last season's top scorer, Baiano, has gone to Celta Vigo, who Malaga meet in the opening game of the new season. Flops Amoroso and Wanchope have both been transferred out as well as Tote, who ended his loan spell unconvincingly.
So it's an all-new strike force this season, with returning hero Salva, who scored 20+ goals two seasons ago whilst on loan from Valencia, now signing a three year contract, probably linking up front with Uruguayan "Chenque" Morales.
In midfield, the signing of David Sanchez from Barcelona looks like a coup and with the experienced Antonio Hidalgo, from Tenerife, I believe we will soon forget the loss of Miguel Angel.
