Malaga CF Announce New Manager.....
......Juan Ramón López Muñiz. Muñiz was the manager of Segunda B (the division below La Segunda) team, Marbella, currently top of their league. He is 37 today, so he's a young manager.
He was a defender who played with a number of La Liga teams and gave up playing in 2001. He was assistant manager to Juande Ramos when he was manager of Malaga three seasons ago, so he is a bit of an "old boy".
Juande Ramos has since gone on to be a successful manager with Sevilla, winning the UEFA Cup last season and lying second to Barcelona in the current league season, so hopefully Muñiz will have learned some good things.
He must tighten things up at the back, introduce some discipline and organisation and return Malaga to winning ways, starting with Saturday's away game at Lorca. We wish him good luck and wait and see how his teams perform over the next few weeks before passing too critical a judgement.
